About
I'm Matt Sellers, a filmmaker based in East Sussex.
I make films that tell the stories behind independent businesses, artists, makers and places, alongside commercial and documentary work for brands, agencies and broadcasters.
For me, the most interesting part of any project isn't just the finished product—it's the people behind it. The decisions they make, the way they work, the challenges they've overcome and the passion that drives them. Those are the stories people remember.

I've been fortunate to work with everyone from independent businesses and artists to organisations including Suzuki, Wolverhampton Wanderers, TUI, Mitre, Nike, Adidas, Netflix, EA Sports, Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and Sony.
Whether I'm working with an independent maker or an international brand, my approach is always the same—understanding the people behind the work and creating films that feel honest, cinematic and authentic.

Over the past 15 years I've worked across documentaries, commercial campaigns and branded content. That experience has shaped the way I approach every project, whether I'm filming an international campaign or spending the day documenting an independent maker in their workshop.
My process is simple. I spend time getting to know you and your business before I pick up the camera. I don't rely on scripts or performances. Instead, I capture real conversations, genuine moments and the craft that makes your work unique. The result is a film that feels honest, cinematic and true to who you are.
From our first conversation to the final edit, I like to keep the process straightforward and collaborative. Whether it's a commercial campaign, a one-off story film, a podcast or an ongoing creative partnership, my aim is always the same: to create work you'll still be proud of years from now.
When I'm not filming for clients, I'm usually working on my own documentary and photography projects around East Sussex. Those personal projects continue to shape the way I see stories and influence every film I make.
If you're looking for a filmmaker who values great storytelling and genuine collaboration, I'd love to hear from you.
