adidas London ‘Welcome Back’

To celebrate the return of grassroots football in Britain, we teamed up with adidas London to produce two Hero films — each a 30-sec dynamic, scripted Instagram Reel. The project was shot during a lockdown so the films need to be story boarded and rehearsed. We then directed action and camera movement and composition remotely. The content championed the amateur game and the brand's new boots, the Copa Sense and the Predator Freak.

Archive

The adidas Archive is a collection of historic shoes from years gone by in their original colourways, with the addition of new palette’s and material alterations. Close to 250 individual shoes have been developed and sold exclusively by size? Our brief was to bring some movement to the latest Archive releases.

 

 

Netflix ‘The Football Collection’

It was the beginning of lockdown, Netflix approached MUNDIAL with the task of filling the void in the calendar by introducing football fans to its football content. Netflix has around 20 football documentaries in its catalogue, and it was our job to tell people about them. The film had 140k organic views on the MUNDIAL Twitter and on IGTV in the first 48 hours.

 

size? x adidas City Series

The project is inspired by the adidas City Series, and particularly the six original shoes released in 2010 to mark size?’s 10th anniversary. Continuing this theme, each colourway represents the twin city of the original UK city. Kicking off the series is the adidas Originals Liverpool, twin city of Dublin from the original release, with a colorway inspired by Liverpool’s historic public transport and coat of arms.

 

 

Cream x adidas

This was a commission to be proud of. An adidas Originals exclusive capsule collection with the iconic Liverpool based Cream. That opening night at Nation in Liverpool October 1992 wasn’t just the first night for Cream it was the first night of a culture still alive today.

 

 

"I Had Trials Once, You Know."

We’ve all got a friend who said they had trials, haven’t we? You might even tell your mates you had one yourself. Maybe you did. This lot actually did, though.⁣

From Kevin who used to run up and down the old East Stand at the Bridge to Trev who remembers running with the boys in Battersea Park and pretending to get an injury so he could get the van back to base to Anthony who remembers being scouted in an U10 Cup Final—each of these five men has vivid memories of being scouted, having trials, or playing in the academy at their beloved @ChelseaFC in the 80s and 90s.⁣

So, with Vitality, we took them to the Chelsea Training Ground to be put through their paces by current stars Mason Mount, Reece James, and Andreas Christensen. ⁣

And you know what? We reckon they’ve all still got it.⁣

The Mundial x Ladbrokes #FootballStories series tells the stories of the fans from clubs big and small, and highlights what makes each of them unique in a way that feels authentic and contemporary. Every club is a community club, every club is special to its fans: this series aimed to take you deeper than that, exploring the intrinsic connections between a team and a town, player and those who support them, while ensuring those stories resonate with football lovers the world over.

 

New York Forever

One of the most iconic sports teams in the world, celebrate their trip to London to play the Washington Wizards. The MUNDIAL x New York Knicks film shows how the Knicks branding fits in London. Showing how the Knicks branding fits in London in a MUNDIAL tone we featured the team’s new merchandise on real Londoners, the piece was shared by the official Knicks channels to a great response on both sides of the Atlantic.

 

 

Translation Necessary

With the Red Sox and Yankees on their way over to play in London, the MUNDIAL x New Balance film took us to Boston, Massachusetts, with a World Series champ and Tunbridge Wells with an Ashes winner. The idea was to showcase the ridiculous terminology in both baseball and cricket. The film has gone out on Red Sox, New Balance and ECB channels.

This unique Mundail x Ladbrokes series focussed on the often overlooked stories of clubs’ female fanbases. The focus on female fans opened up the narrative, moving fandom away from simply “dads and lads”, and more in line with the equal values that football aspires to. We meet the women supporters of their partner teams to find out what it means to be a woman and a football fan.

On 4 April 2018, Arab News changed its 43 year old logo with a new one as well as its strapline "The Middle East's Leading English Language Daily" to "The Voice of a Changing Region". Our “Change” campaign has been hugely successful and has gone on to be the ethos of the paper.
